Passing a parameter from 11i menu to custom form

I have a custom form running on Oracle 11.5.9. that requires a parameter to be passed when calling the form from the menu. I have defined the function in the setup and see that there is a tab for parameters, but do not know the syntax. ie parameter= '1' .

Can anyone help ?
