I have a Crystal Report template from CR v7 where I am trying to pass a datatime parameter to a Sybase stored procedure. When I attempt to verify the report in the designer I get an error. When I execute the stored procedure in the Sybase client it works.

Any ideas.

I know this one very well... so nice to see that crystal hasn't addressed it yet. The "latest - greatest" dll for native connections has a problem with datetime parameters and Sybase stored proc. The symptoms I would get were, error when adding, crystal crash with warning, crystal crash w/o warning, crystal appearing to run the SP just fine but returning partial or no data... the list goes on. I have found version 8.0.0.10 of p2ssyb10.dll to be the most stable. It still will not sent a "set to null" datefield correctly, but otherwise works fairly well.

Lisa,

Thanks for the info. I was begining to think I had lost my mind. That may still be true but at least I know its not because of this.

If I try using the version 8.0.0.10 of p2ssyb10.dll with Crystal 7 how do you think it will behave? What versions of Crystal have you tried it with?

Mary

I have used it with version 8 and version 8.5.. sorry no sybase experience with version 7. Do you know what version you are using now? I would hang on to a copy of the one that you are using incase the replacement didn't work. It can't hurt to try it..
