I am trying to select records in an Oracle 8.1.6 Database by using a date range in my select. I am passing it to Crystal using a VB app. The select statement is valid in vb and makes the correct select when pasted directly into Crystal. But when it gets to the RecordSelectionFormula stage just before it is passed to vb, I get a Boolean, currency or date time expected error message from vb.

The RecordSelectionFormula follows:
ALM2.ALMDATETIME >= to_date('Dec 04, 2001 02:19:53 PM', 'MON DD, YYYY HH12:MI:SS PM') AND ALM2.ALMDATETIME <= to_date('Dec 06, 2001 02:19:53 AM', 'MON DD, YYYY HH12:MI:SS PM')

Has anyone had this problem? Is there a solution. The to_date is required by Oracle. The Formula is being passed as a string.

Thanks
