Passing a BLANK parameter via HTML

I have an HTML parameter page which contains two calendar boxes for a START DATE and an END DATE.

I am trying to allow the user to leave BOTH dates blank, however, the HTML code is NOT passing the blank parameter.

Can this be done?

You have two input boxes that will not permit the user to leave them blank or they pass information regardless of whether the user puts data in them or not? Not entirely sure I understand the problem...

Do you have some relevant code to pass that may help to find the problem?
