Passed CCA Test 222 This morning...info inside

Ok I took for the first time and passed the citrix cca test 222 This morning... I have to be honest, it was much harder than I anticipated...I logged probably 10 hours studying, as well as Ive managed a citrix farm for 3 years...

THe study guide I used was from

http://www.boson.com.

It was 233 questions broken up into 4 tests... I recommend it to anyone.. It isnt a braindump, just a bunch of sample questions... I would say 35-40% of the questions on the tests were similar to this guide.

Here are a few pointers for passing the test.

1. KNOW COMMAND PROMPT commands... Cant state this enough.. THey are all over the place.

2. Be ready for the Choose 2, or choose three, or choose 3 that are INVALID (i hate those) questions... They are all over as well.. Admitedly I struggled with those.

3. Know ports... SSL 443, XML 80, ICA 1494.. Know the rest of them too, such as 2512 etc..

4. Know hardware and software requirements.. Such as a 550 mhz processor, 1 gig hd space for 2000 server, 1.5 gig for 2003 server etc. Also know which release has which items installed i.e XPs only has Metaframe XP and web, XPa has those 2 plus load manager, XPe has those three plus resource manager... KNow that stuff.

Hope this information helps... Im a CCA as of today (or when citrix decides to mail me my cert) (cant login to do it til 4 days after test)

I'm also planning to take citrix certification exams. Is there a link where I can browse for which exams to take? I don't have any certifications yet and a guide where to start would be of great help.

Can you tell me which publication or book you used for your 222 exam?? I've been to the site above but only mentioned about the 5 days course and not any books. Can you tell me the ISBN or official name for this exam

I used the FR3 admin guides available for download at Citrix's site...along w/ hands-on exposure.

The official name of the exam is Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server, Feature Release 3: Administration

Can anyone tell me , how can i take my elaerning course. I am really confuse as how sshould i start it and wht is the site i can give the exam from.

when I was doing Cisco CCNA TESTKING Q&As I had like 85% of the same questions on the exam, so I'm guessing same idea for CCA exam. Don't get me wrong I do study for everything but those Q&As help a lot when it comes down to answering questions on the exam without having seconds thoughts.
