Way to go Jsteve. I'm studying for 216 as we speak. Took 218 last Sunday to achieve MCSA. IMHO I thought 218 wasn't too hard. Lots of GP and GPO on it.

Thanks Overclocker,

I read that the 216 was harder, so I decided to travel that road first. My 216 was alot of RAS, DNS and DHCP. Some CA and IPsec.

Most people call the 216 "the beast". I found that once I passed that exam all the other exams were much easier.

The best pointer would be to complete as many practice test as posible to get use to the wording. I found myself reading the questions twice, which is a time killer. I completed the 210 and 215 in a little over an hour, but I used up every minute on that 216.

to give you an example you would get a question like this:

Your WAN network consists of ten internal subnets in two physical buildings connected by routers. An additional subnet is configured for Internet access. All routers on the network will be multihomed Windows
2000 Servers running Routing and Remote Access.
You want to accomplish the following goals:
- Administrative overhead for routing tale configuration is minimized.
- Broadcast traffic for routing table configuration is minimized.
- Link redundancy within ten minutes is ensured in case of router failure.
- Ensure convergence times of less than one minute for all known routes.
- Internal routing information will never be exposed to external routers.
You take the following actions:
- Install RIP version 1
- Configure RIP to use all interfaces on all multihomed computers.
- Enable RIP authentication by specifying a password on each interface.
What results do these actions produce?

if your not use to these types of question, than you will have to re-read it several times. Also get enough rest the night before.

Hand's on, rest, and familiarity with the question format... dang!!! That's the best advice yet!!!

It's worth noting that the transcender was not as helpful on 216 as it was on the others; but it does have the same question format...

Setnaffa is an MCP-W2K (working on MCSE-W2K) with a few other certs, too...
