Does anyone know if it is possible to pass a VDN or Vector variable when doing a BSR to another location?

We’re trying to think of a way to pass something across with the call so we can route it on the other end without having to have so many BSR plans.

Thoughts?

Thanks

JPJacobson,

which cm version are you using?

CM is 5.1 with IP trunks between the two sites

JPJacobson,

cm5 is good, more features. i've re-read your post and i can't get it clear: do you want to pass information with poll calls or interflow calls? as i get the whole idea, you may want to pass it with poll calls but afaik bsr doesn't work like that, information forwarding works only with interflowed calls. on the other hand, you can use lai but that's another story. could you describe your goal in more detail?

dwalin,

Thanks for your response.

What I’m looking to do is pass a variable (Vector or VDN) when the call interflows to the other center. What I’m hoping to do is reduce the number of BSR plans we need to build. What we do is scrape the callers NPA and route them to a VDN to report X number of calls from NPA X. Without having to create a lot of BSR plans, I want to pass the variable to the other center if the call interflows for routing on that end.

So I guess what I’m asking is, if I set a variable on one end and interflow the call to another site, can I get the variable data on the interflowed side?

Thanks

JPJacobson,

well if you mean interflowed calls then you can employ information forwarding feature. in fact, it should work by default. look up "information forwarding" chapter in eas/vectoring guide, it's all described there. if you need to pass more information that is passed by default i suggest using uui field. you can do that by assigning an asaiuui type variable and setting its value.
