Windows 2k Server at the main office = Root of Forest, 2 child domains running on Win2003 Servers at 2 branch offices, login options dialogue box gives all domains as a login option. Have an acct on the main office server that is a member of the Enterprise admin acct group but can't seem to use that acct to logon to any of the Child domain local DC's. Replication is occurring fine. I was under the impression that in this type of scenario a two-way transitive trust is set automatically between the root DC and the Child domain DC's, what do I need to do to get the child domain servers to pass the acct authentication on to the root DC? Am I interpreting how Pass through authentication should be working incorrectly? Do I need to set an explicit trust in Domains and Trusts?
