Anyone out there know a way to pass a dBase command from Visual Basic? I'm using the microsoft ODBC dBase 5 driver to access data on the Novell Server. I need a way of issuing the pack command after deleting records or only returning records that do not have the delete tag. Any thoughts?

I am also having the same problem, but I have a work around by creating a FoxPro object, then reference this object within VB, and issue the pack command to deal with the dBase.

Well you could look into the CodeBase library for Visual Basic, it can be a huge help. It is what we used to convert a large scale application to VB. It is made for working with dBase databases.

Just search for CodeBase in your fav search enging. I think Sequiter makes it (but I do not know how to spell it)
