I'd like to program my iMac using Pascal. There seems to be four possibilities.
1. Turbo Pascal for Mac. I think Borland offered such a thing at one time. I keep browsing eBay for a copy. Can I download it?
2. Think Pascal. I have a link for a download but the site seems to no longer exist.
3. GNU Pascal. Is it ready yet?
4. Virtual PC. I'd have buy Windows on top of it. Could I just load DOS onto virtual PC.
Would there possibly be a Pascal compiler for Unix that I could run via Terminal?
Right now I have no way of programming the Mac and although I would much prefer some form of Pascal, I am not above using other languages. The Mac came with a trial version of something called Real Basic. Either the trial version's clock started when I first fired up the machine or else I somehow started it. Anyway the trial period has expired without my getting any trial done. However, it seems to be a bit pricey for what I want to do. BASIC would be my next-to-last resort.
My last resort would be C/C++. Under OS X is a version of Unix. C and Unix go together but I don't think there is a C compiler on the machine. Is one available?
