I am working with PM 7.0 on Windows XP and trying to create color separated pdf files of the two colors in my 12-page document, black and blue. When I try to print the black plate to a postscript file and convert to pdf, random parts of the text and in one case a whole article disappear in the resulting file.

When I print the document as a composite, all of the text is visible and the file is complete. I have checked the fonts in the Save for Service Provider option and it says fonts are fine. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I see you have had this problem answered over on the Adobe forum.

For anyone else interested, it is because parts of the text are coloured 'Auto' - usually as a result of text being brought in as a Word doc. That auto colour is actually RGB. The solution is to click and drag the Auto colour in the Colors palette to the trash can (at the bottom of the palette), when you will be asked if you want to replace it with black. Say yes.
