I've just installed a Partner 2, Version 4.1 system and have a few annoying problems I can't seem to solve...so your assistance is appreciated. This is a small office set-up with 8 extensions, 4 lines and only 2VM boxes. Ext10 is mine and 11 is my partners. we each have 4 lines assigned. All of the other extensions have just the main number, (line1) with the ability to intercom everyone else.
1) On ext 10 & 11 (with 4 lines assigned) I cannot get any of the outside lines to ring. I have assigned line ringing to immediate on all 4, but to no avail.
2) I cannot get ext 10 & 11 to default to their respective home line when you pickup the handset. I have assigned automatic line sel (eg L3 to ext11) and (L4 to ext10) as their default home line. but both sets go to intercom when you pickup.

and finally! I have a phantom ring on ext 10 & 11, Seems that periodically on the hour or half hour, the intercom starts autodialing. I have disabled any wakeup call features.

I'm getting there, but I am perplexed at what should be simple solutions to these problems / thanks / keith

I'm running: Slot1 - 206e/4.1, Slot2- 206ec/4.1. Slot3- Proc 4.1, Slot4- 400e/3.1 and Slot5- Partner VM VS/4.0.

I didn't know how to do a system reset on the Voicemail System, so it might be that there is a problem with prior programming. I have been reading up on threads regarding the phantom dialing. My dialing is on the tow system phones (#10 & #11) both of which have VM mailboxes, and are with the intercom key only. When the intercom rings (usually on the hour or half hour) and pick it up, you hear a blast of DTMF tones.

Hope this info helps

You should have ONLY extensions 32 and 33 in #505 group 7.
It sounds like ext 10 an 11 are assigned.

I'm exactly there in the programming manual now - except that I have 30, 31, 32 & 33 assigned. I can't figure out if I have a 2port or 4port system, except if I just use 32/33, the calls get answered automatically and go to the receptionist, so i have been using 30-33 assigned in group 7
does this make sense?

and yes - i removed ext10 & 11 and the phones now ring / thanks for the headsup on that.

Look at the license card that inserts into the voicemail. If there isn't one then its a 2port.
