I have a Partner 4.0 system and have things set up as such:

(5 slot cabinet)
308EC card, Partner VS R3.0 voicemail, Partner 4.0 processor, blank, blank

According to the paperwork I've downloaded from Avaya.com's support site, I have it configured correctly and have added extensions 26/27 to hunt group 7.

When I call into the system from off-site, the voicemail module is defaulted to pick up after 1 ring and then transfer back out to extention 10. This works.

However, if I pick up a partner phone and dial intercom 777 it just rings and rings. Before I set up hunt group 7 when I dialed intercom 777 I got a busy signal immediately.

I've tried setting hunt group 7 for the other sets of extensions the guide recommended (even though I did not move my VS module to the other slots) and got busy signals every time I tried dialing intercom 777.

The PMVS works differently than the Partner Messaging. The ports you need to assign are the last (2) on the module. The Partner ACS see's the PMVS as a 206E Module, so the last (2) ports are 30/31.

This worked great for dialing into the voicemail system but now I have another problem.

I removed ext 26/27 from the hunt group and added 30/31 and now if I just call the system I don't get voicemail to answer at all. I've looked at day/night schedules and the "always on" schedule inside the partner system and it is set to always on right now but Voicemail is not answering.

If I intercom 777, I can get right in and administer the system with no problems.

Thank you again! This worked perfectly. Even with a 100 page tome at hand, I very much appreciate Tek-Tips.com and all the helpfulness!
