Partner VS R1- Individ'l greeting and message problem

Just installed a refurb Partner VS R1 all seemed well until attempting to record individual extension greetings in the Voicemail. It allows the intial recording and plays it back, but when *# are used to save the greeting it seems to disapear. The same seems to be true for messages left in boxes. The message is recorded and playback capability exists, but once the message is sent the box continues to tell you that it is empty.

This is my third day of trying to reinstall and start over from scratch and I would like to save the hair that I have not yet pulled out of my head.--Please help.

Its a bad hard drive ,you should replace the module .Nothing you can do in the programming to control that.
