Sometimes it takes up to 8 rings before voicemail answers. I have confirmed that both ports are working. This is an intermittent problem. Is this likely a voicemail issue or an issue with the ACS processor?

You have one or more extensions assigned to #505-7, other than 78 and 79

The hunt is circular, so once it has used 78 for one call, and 79 for another call, the next call goes to Ext. ??, rings 4 times without answer, hunts to Ext. ??, rings 4 times without answer, hunts to Ext. 78 and bingo, you're in.

I would make sure which ports are in hunt group 7. I have seen that sort of delay when it had extra ext in the hunt group and it rings the non vm ports. Should just be 78 & 79.

I thought of that, but didn't realize the hunt group is circular. Sure enough three extensions including, inexplicably x10, were in there. Thank you!

Looks like I need to learn to type faster...[wink]
