Partner ACS R7.0 w/PC Large voicemail card. The customer has recorded the AA greeting and saved it (you can login to the voicemail via INTERCOM 777 and listen to it), but when a caller calls in and the AA picks up, the caller gets the canned greeting, not the one that she recorded. Is this just a matter of assigning the Automatic VMS Cover (#310) for all the extensions, or is there something else that should be programmed?

Post the steps they used to record it. Sometimes users think they are recording in the right spot when in actuality they are recording x10's mailbox greeting and not the auto-attendant.

I figured it out. Whoever set it up initially had never assigned the lines to Hunt Group 7 through Group Call Distribution (#206). Once we did that everything was cool. Thanks for the reply, though - much appreciated.

I've got another customer with this exact same problem, and the AA greeting has been verified as recorded, but the canned greeting is still playing instead of the recorded greeting. What's been done:

#206 - all lines have been assigned to Group 7
#505 - Extensions 78 & 79 have been assigned to Group 7
#506 - mode is set to Day (1), and all lines are assigned to 5 rings
#507 - all lines are set to always

The system is set to 5 rings, and the canned greeting picks up after 5 rings, so that part is good. What am I missing?

What exactly does the canned greeting say? It could be covering to a mailbox through #208 as Telecomboy suggests, or forwarding to a telco based voicemail on the 4th ring.
