I have a Partner Voice Messaging (Large) card that loses programming on power loss. The customer has been using their system for a while without any AA, but I recently set up an AA with selector codes that transfer to phones, and some mailboxes in answer only mode.

Since setting this up for them, anytime they have a power loss longer than their UPS can handle, the mail box assignments, selector codes, and mail box greetings get wiped. The main AA greeting is still there, but that is about it. The phone system does not lose any programming, and yes I have put new AAA batteries in the system. They were running on a UPS that also had their server on it, and I have put the phone system on it's own UPS to get more run time, but I feel this is only a temporary fix.

It is a Partner ACS 509 Processor, and a 308EC Module in a two slot carrier. The slots have a Back up/restore card in slot 1, and a Voice Messaging PC (Large) in slot 2.

Any ideas?

The PC card shouldn't lose programming even during a power outage. I wonder if it took a shock/surge when the power came back on? I would do a test and see if it happens with a normal power off/on. If so, I would say there is an issue with the pc mail.

There was one version of PC card mail that would do just that - revert to default selector codes and mailbox assignments after a power failure. The resolution from Avaya was a complete default of the card, and then reprogram.

It did happen with a normal power cycle, just today when I installed a dedicated UPS.

Preforming a full default wouldn't be too difficult, since I have to reprogram just about everything anyway each time.
