Depending on what exactly you want to accomplish, you MAY be able to achieve with R7. Send mailbox zero destination to an auto attend that provides centrex transfer... or something similar.

The only problem will be a large number of MB users. I wanted a cleaner way of transferring the callers from each MB to an external cell number with no delays or further options to choose from.
I can do this with Nortel VM. I was hoping that Avaya would address this on a newer release.
The first release of the R7 processor, "E", had the tendency to lose programming during power failures even with fully charged keep alive batteries installed.
Avaya issued a patch to fix the problem. While it resolved that problem, it created new ones. More patches soon followed.
GA = General Availability, or release date in Avaya-speak. Nice to know it's not going to be discontinued, huh? That's all I can say for now, though - I'm just a vendor and can get into trouble if I say more.
The Avaya Partner Messaging R6 & R7 voicemails were released roughly the same time as the R6 & R7 processors were. I don't know if there will be an R8 voicemail, so stay tuned!
