We have a small firm that would like to record all outbound calls other then installing a Partner Messaging with the RAC ( record a call ) feature are there any other products out there that may be a better fit as they are using the Partner R7 in Stand-alone mode ( no other cards ).

this is a small firm using 8 sets x 5 lines so they have just the R7 processer and would need a 2 port carrier , Partner Messaging & 4 port expansion card if I am correct to use RAC feature.

just would like to see if there are any other options as I recall the RAC feature records to ones mailbox via a manual button assigned ( F24 )

thank you

How about a Radio Shack telephone recording control plugged into the AUX port on a phone, or google for digital phone recorder. You can attach them per line or per extension on the Partners

I recommend a computer recording system.. Stancil ( has a system called "Ten-4" that can record simultaneous calls from extensions, lines, or both (it can also record other types of audio depending on configuration). The Ten-4 server runs off a networked computer workstation, and authorized users/supervisors can monitor or playback audio via the Ten-9 client. It can be password protected, stores audio for something like 90 days, and is easily backed up to permanent storage.

Out of all the digital recorders I've seen, this is my favorite and I've never had a problem with them.

We have a customer using several USBBLAST PRO+ USB Call Logging System from HelloDirect. They are quite happy with them and thought the price was very reasonable considering the available features.
