Hi all, I have changed out 6 Partner ACS R6 brand new units at three different sites in the last 3 weeks. All of them have the same issue of a staticy, distorted sound on ext. 11. The intercom dial tone sounds slightly off and the conversations have a slight distortion/fuzziness. Am I the only one having this issue on new R6 units? Any feedback appreciated.
It's always ext. 11 ! All 3 sites. I can take the cord out of port 11 and plug it into any other port on the same card or another mod in the system and it is clear. Thanks!

i had it happen alot , but that was when they first came out

Given what cvrbob has said, it sounds like a manufacturing defect.

To lighten up the customer during an embarassing moment, I'll often remark that "There's no extra charge for that".

I had a lot of problems w/ R7 - not sure if R6 issues were caused by the same thing. I have a customer tell me there was a QPPCN on the avaya web site - I don't remember the details, but it was something about excess solder from a bad manufacturing group. You might want to check the Avaya support site. They are usually so reliable that is it really frustrating when things go bad - just remember its all in the recovery - (my version of theres no extra charge for that :))
