I for some reason can not connect into my partner system. I have used this computer to program my legend system, so I know the system works.

I connect with the SMDR port on the front, using the 355A adapter out of my serial port on my pc. I have the setup for doing legends, I just came accross a Partner and I want to connect into it. I downloaded the partner software off the avaya website...I'm totally puzzled on this one.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks!,
John

Partner ACS Release 3 through Release 6 are programmed with a MODEM, and you must have a Remote Access Backup/Restore Card installed to get the modem in the ACS.

Release 7 can be programmed by modem if you have a RAC card, OR, you can use the 355 adapter and connect to the RS-232 port on the processor.

The SMDR port is only going to give you call data.

Just a note: some modems do have issues connecting to the ACS. The avaya web site has a pdf concerning how to use the remote softwre for the ACS.
