My system consists of a Partner 206 R2.0 and a 206E R3.0.
Every afternoon as the room temperature increases, the unit shuts down due to over heating. Putting a fan on the unit restores the power. The unit does not feel exceptionly hot yet it shuts down. Is there a thermostat in the power supply that maybe need replacing?

how hot does the room temp get ?
Is it a particularly hot area or just normal room temp ?

if you just leave it with the fan running odes it still shutdown ?

have you tried leaving the cover off the carrrier ?

Those old station cards put out a lot of heat. If you lay your hand on the top of the card and it is almost too hot to touch, then those cards should be replaced. Sometimes they even smoke. I have seen them set off smoke detectors. The cards can be refurbished but the 206 Rel 4s and up put out a lot less heat.
