has anybody ever heard of a partner phone grabbing a line and locking it up...

I am almost sure its a remote cable problem. But I was just curious...

I switched ports with the cable and it followed to whichever port I selected. Its a cable run underground to an off premise guard shack and we have been having tons of rain, so I am pretty sure its a cable problem, but I thought I would just check...

Thanks

I had this same problem. Fork truck would drive over cable and short the pair and grap a line. Figured it out by putting all ext's on a 34 d to see which ext it was....

Hello highfalcon1,
You have a short or resistive connection between tip and ring in your cable. Sorry for the crappy news. Don't you hate it when you are right?
