Partner Messaging and Merlin Messaging are similar platforms, although they support diferent Phone Systems. On that note, when the Messenger interface is used with Partner MEssaging, is there a way to get it to show the Caller ID of the calling party, or is that just not going to happen? It shows up CID when using Merlin Messaging with a PRI, and that's the reason for the question.
Thanks for any help.

Not sure I understand your question. Do you have a Partner ACS system together with Partner Messaging? If so what messaging and what are the releases of both the ACS and messaging?

Pepperz, if you are talking about the calls being transfered from the auto-attd to an extension without showing caller id info, you need to set the VMS hunt delay between 1-2 rings and set all the phones to delay or no ring to allow the caller ID info pass after the first ring from the LEC. I hope this helps.

Partner ACS Rel 6, Partner Messaging Release 6. Caller ID shows up in the phone display, and on SMDR reports, so I know it's getting read properly, BUT: on the Partner Messaging "Messenger" interface (the web browser interface for Partner Messaging), in the "From" column, it shows "Unknown" as the ID of who the call is from, on an outside call. On an inside call, it shows the extension.
The question is if the Partner Messaging can be made to show the caller ID in the "from" column. This will show up on a "Merlin" Messaging interface, but I do not know if it will on a Partner interface. That is the question.

Ah, I see what Pepperz is getting at. I have noticed that Merlin Messaging does record the CID when you use the web interface to access your VM but Partner Messaging does not.

I have not found a version of Partner Messaging yet that does record the CID for inspection through the web interface to retrieve your VM.
