Is the only way to do this by using Centrex? The customers phone compnay does not provide the Centrex feature. I tried doing the whole Remote Call Forward, but the lines never disconnected?
If the system doesn't automatically release the line when the call is concluded, it could be that the Central Office isn't sending a reliable disconnect signal (also called Positive Disconnect or Forward Disconnect).
Call the CO and ask them to adjust the signal (usually it needs to be shortened). This usually fixes the problem.
