Hi,

I have an ACS 6 with Partner Messaging R7. Everything is working great, but I need to know how to dial in and change the Auto Attendant greeting (for when the office is closed to due bad weather, etc.).

Can anyone please help me out with this?

Many, many thanks...

Steve

dial the Auto Attendant
press *7 when it picks up
0#
password #
9
3
Auto Attendant number (usually 1)
1 for day or 2 for night greeting
6 to modify
*# (don't press anything else)
press 1 to record
record your greeting
press 1 save it with *#
hang up and go back to bed

Thanks Joe ...

That did it! I particularly liked the final instruction about heading back to bed ) (is that in the printed manual?) LOL

Best regards,
Steve

Joe,

Is there any way that you know of to save a series of prerecorded AA greetings and select them as necessary?

Thanks again,
Steve

if you are connected through the LAN onto the system you can back it up to the PC, if not then I am afraid not

There must be some round-about way to do this so I'll keep plugging away at it.

Thanks for the reply though...

Have a great day!

Steve

if you load the admin software and hook it up it is fairly simple to do, you will have it within 30 minutes including the installation time. You just need to log into it with user name: sysadmin password : admin password and the IP address if not changed is by default 10.0.0.42 then you are good to go.

I have that already setup and working pretty well.. I was just needing the ability to call in (either via remote or in house) and change to a pre-recorded greeting and select it. I know that indiviual mailboxes have that ability, but I also thought that the AA's did as well. I'm searching for a workaround, as I know I can't be the only one who needs this type of functionality. At another company I worked for, they had an Octel VM system that could do it, and then some.

Thanks!

Steve

No I guess you would have to do that via remote into the PC you have the software on.
You could however do a temporary schedule and have that greeting prerecorded, then you just have to dial in and activate it for the day and you are good to go and you don't have to take it off again because it will change after midnight

Set up AA-2 with the temporary greetings, then assign the lines, removing them when you're ready to go back to AA-1.
