Partner Messaging R7 red led on steady

I have a recently installed Partner ACS R7 with Partner Messaging R7. I went back the other day to install MOH and noticed the red led light on the Messaging module was on! I thought the mail had crashed. I went up to the receptionist to see what was going on, and she said everything is working fine! I made some test calls and everything was working. This is the first time I ever installed this particular mail system, so I figured there must be other reasons the led was red beside it was down. Anyone know of something that would cause this, while still functioning? Thanks.

I would preform a system reset/save all by doing a #728 in system admin. This should be done during lunch or before/after hours.Make sure your back-up batteries (two AAA batts in the compartment below the processor are fresh.you can replace these with the power on)

Actually, with later versions of the R7 and all versions of the R8 processors, the AAA batteries only serve to keep the replace batteries message from appearing on the displays at extensions 10 & 11. The processors automatically reload the saved configuration during boot-up.

If the red light is lit on the PM module, but it appears to be working, I'd try connecting a PC to the serial port and then reboot the system to see if you get any error messages.
