With An ACS R7 and Partner Messaging R7. Is there a way to disable the "0" operator. The Customer does not want a person to be able to get out of a voicemail box to go to and operator... The office doesn't have a receptionist and no one wants to be responsible to check a general voicemail box.

0 out of a mailbox always goes somewhere. But you need to decide where that somewhere is. You could create a mailbox that is pointed to the auto attendant, and then set that extension as the call answer service operator. Then, when someone presses 0, they are transferred to that "extension" and are answered by the auto atendant instead.

If you do not want that as a global setting, then set the destination from the Personal Operator setting in each mailbox that needs it.

Thanks Tommy,

I am a little confused as to how to setup a Mailbox that is pointed to the auto attendant. Could you elaborate?

Once you log into the System Administrator's mailbox, select 2 for extensions, dial an ext. no. (like, say, 51), then press 3 to assign it to an auto attendant. Then specify the Auto attendant no. (1-4). Set the phone status as "without a phone", but give it auto vms cover in #310, and set the vms cover rings to 1 in #321.
