I am installing a partner messaging R1 on an existing ACS 3.0.I am trying to get the maximun amount of rings after the call is tranfered from the auto attendant. When the caller calls they press selector code which goes to group 1 (ext. 71) I need the call to ring as long as possible before going to ext. 10. I would prefer it stayed at 71. If it has to go to 10, can it be set up to return to 71 so that anyone can pick up the call.
Is there anyway to set up system so that the phones don't ring once before going into auto attendant. I can't disable rings on phones because the customer has the ability to shut off voicemail with night button if needed.
thanks Mike

Put the phones on Delayed Ring, and put them in the Night Service group. Set the Hunt Group Schedule #507 to Day Only. Pressing the Night Service button makes the AA stop answering, and the phones start ringing. Delayed ring during the day makes the phones silent until the AA answers, but if all ports are busy and another call comes in, phones ring after 4 rings.

Set the Transfer Return Extension for the voice mail ports to point to 10, and calls to calling groups will ring until answered or abandoned.

Set the Transfer Return Extension for the voice mail ports to themselves, and calls to calling groups will return to the voice mail. If there is NOT a mailbox that matches the calling group number, they will then transfer to the Call Answer Service Operator, and cover to its mailbox. If there IS a mailbox matching the calling group number, calls will be answered by that. Make the calling group mailbox a phantom, so the incoming messages record into someone's actual mailbox, so they arrive somewhere with a message waiting light and get listened to and returned. OR, have them phantom to an unused General Mailbox (9991, 9992, 9993) and light up somewhere, so someone doesn't have to give up a personal mailbox to receive group messages.

Oh, and set the Transfer Return Rings to 9, for the maximum ringing before returning.
