I have a customer with the following configuration:

012E 012E ACS R7 012E P. Messaging 2 port

according to my calculations that puts the voicemail ports at 55 and 56. The message waiting lights do not turn on at all. The Partner Messaging module has been replaced, the ACS R7 processor has been replaced, the 5 slot carrier has been replaced, the Partner Messaging module was eventually taken back to the shopped and it worked there. Anyone have any ideas, could the 012E modules be causing a problem?

Thanks,
Jesse

How many ports are you licensed for? Only the LAST port does the MWI lights (for a 2 or 4 port card), and the last 2 ports for a 6 port card.

If you have a 4 or 6 port license card, your MWI ports are out of range

excellent catch
my first idea was that the mailboxes have been created without a phone (had that once)

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Thanks for the ideas guys, I wish it was that easy. I made sure it was installed with a 2 port license card and if you call 57 it just rings so there's no active port there. I did make sure that the mailboxes where created with having a phone. It seems like the only thing left is the 012E cards but I've never heard of that before. What do you think?

CarGoSki,

The huntgroup is programmed right because I can call 777 and it answers every time, no extensions are assigned to HG 7 except 55 and 56.

Well obviously if you can take PM to a different processor and it works then your programming is hosed. It is apparent that the problem is with ther hg or the vmail extensions.

You could factory default and reprogram. After all it shouldn't take too long.

I suppose it is possible that the boxes were built as extensions that have no phone which would explain no MWI.

Actually,a default was tried, its a simple setup so it didn't take long to reprogram, and the port card is in the left slot. Thanks for your suggestions.

I'll give another look and see if maybe something was overlooked.

Thanks,

What happens if you swap the PM with the 012 in slot 4, and change the VM ports to 43 and 44?

allisland is on the right track. Swap the VM into another slot, reprogram the Hunt Group extensions properly, and see if the lights start magically working. If you pull the license card, all 6 ports go into test mode, so maybe they somehow are using the 5th or 6th ports, unlicensed, and not in the hunt group to do the MWI. Or possibly your 2-port card is a mislabeled 4-port card.
