Partner messaging: is it possible auto attendant 2 can pick up sometimes if no lines are assigned

I think auto attendant 2 is picking up sometimes even no lines are assigned to it anymore ( an ex employees voice has been heard a time or two) but i can't duplicate it. I reassigned the lines to auto att 1 using the messaging admin software on a pc. Is this possible?

Is the auto attendant being switched between "open" and "closed" via a button on X10 or x11? If so, check to see if the secondary greeting is the questionable one.
