Is it possible for the Partner messaging R1 to perform the following.

When a messages is left for extension 11, I need to have it copied to extension 19.

If so, HOW

THanks

If it is possible on the R1, I beleive it will prompt you to forward the message to another mbox after you listen to it.

I doubled checked myself. to have the message auto copied i need to upgrade ot r6 or r7

thanks all

Are you sure, I dont think it would be part of the Processor. It is a feature of the voice messaging system.

It's not forwarding that you're after, it's "auto copy".

Forwarding is when you receive a message in your mailbox, and you want to send it to someone else.

Auto Copy is when messages that are NOT specifically marked as "private" are left in the original mailbox AND copied to another mailbox automatically.

"Phantom Mailbox" is when one mailbox's greeting plays, but the message is recorded into another mailbox, and messages are never received in the original mailbox.

Hi Furball8675309,
We are talking about the Partner Mail R6 or R7. And TTT is right, the feature is autocopy. Just didn't want to confuse things as basically the same function is performed.
We define a "phantom mailbox" as an extension with no phone. Either inside or outside the dialplan. Just words that mean a mailbox without a phone (or phones for groups). I'll have to check, but I thought the autocopy feature could be set up to copy all messages regardless of privacy setting. Haven't used the feature, but I've been asked.

Hey Chris - I call a mailbox without a phone, but that does receive messages, a "guest" mailbox; to avoid confusing it with the phantom function that records the message in another mailbox instead. Just terminology, I know, but now that Avaya uses the phantom designation, I find I have to be careful how I describe the setup.

Hi TouchToneTommy,
Yup, just words. I work for a 25yr interconnect and if I start talking Avaya, they will not understand me. We are actually an ITT shop, now EON, and Avaya. Please feel free to correct my terminology here so others are not confused.
I just know I'll confuse the heck out of myself trying to talk two different ways.
Take care TTT,
-Chris
