TTT back in June you answered one of the questions with
"The schedule and switch modes conflict" Can you expand on what troubles can be expected if you use both, I have 2 customers looking to do so, right now both are just using switch mode.
Their both Messagings Rel 7 , One ACS Rel6 and the other is the famous 5x9
Might it something to do with the caller ID giving wrong time( and sometimes date )throwing off the schedule?
Any info you can add will save me some grief.

Under Schedules, (option 5 in the Auto Attendant programming menu), you have the option to have the AA follow the switch mode, follow the weekly business schedule, or follow BOTH the switch mode AND the weekly business schedule.

If you opt for follow BOTH, it will go into and out of Night Service at unpredictable times.

Nothing to do with CID, the problem showed itself with the R1 Partner Messaging.

So what is it that your clients want to accomplish?

You can follow the business schedule, and still have a Night Service button on Ext. 10. The NS button controls the number of rings before the AA picks up, but the Business Schedule controls which menu (day or night) answers.

So, you could hit NS during the day, and have the Day message answer immediately.

Thanks for the fast answer TTT,
It's the same owner with 2 busineses, on occasion they forget to throw the nite button on, and he wants the schedule to act as a backup.

Perfect - set the AA to follow the business schedule, put a NS button on Ext. 10 to control the number of rings, and if they forget to push it, the Night message will still answer, just after more rings.

Quick hint on setting the schedule - if they have a normal pattern of something like 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, it's a drag to enter each day of the week, the mode (open or closed), the starting and ending times, and confirming all of it. Press 9 for the day of the week (means ALL days), then 1 for open, the starting and ending times, and confirm it. Then just press 1 for Sunday, and 2 for closed, then 7 for Saturday, and 2 again for closed. The rest of the weeek is already set!

set up the LAN connection and do it over the PC it is soooooo much nicer to work with
