Can I get into any admin screens on a Partner Messaging R1 without the PCMCIA port card in it? I can power up the system with a ACS R5 and want to use it as a test bed. Or do I need the port card in there to get into it?

Also I have a port card, how do I know how new it is? Or does it matter? The card says Avaya Partner Messaging 4-Port Card on the front with a copyright of 2000 Avaya Inc. and the back of the card says: 515B 700015068 and the serial number.

Thanks

You can still access the GUI without a port license card installed. The cards are all compatable with each release, you can take a card from an R1 and use it in an R7.

Does anyone know where I can get the older Partner Messaging PC Software? I tried connecting with the new R7 software and it told me that I need the older version to connect to a R1 messaging system. I looked on Avaya's site and could only find the new software.

Thanks
