Partner Mail VS R5.0 Submenu Set up 1

1st question is can I set up multiple submenues in this version.

2nd question is how to best do it. I tried changing a selector to a anoucement. When I got in the anoucement and tried dialing and ext it told me that it was and invalid entry. I need a submenu for ext lists as well as some other anouncements that may direct calls to other exts.

first set up a submemnu with the selector codes going where you want

then assign this submenu to a selctor code in the main menu

Instruct them to dial *8 XX and it will trans out of the message and go to the extension.

There are no submenus in VS mail. There are two announcements available, and you need to dial *8 and an extension number to get out from the announcements. You can also use mailboxes for announcements, set the Personal Operator to go to still another mailbox for nesting. You still have to dial *8 to transfer out of a mailbox, and beware that the mailboxes still record messages, and callers get mad when no one checks these odd ball mailboxes for messages!

Set the mailbox mode for announce only (vaction mode) and no message will be taken.

Thanks for the info. I needed to know what the voice mail could do and what the set up was. I will explain what I can do to the user and see if they want this setup.

I will ask again if I need more help.
