I have an ACS R3.0 processor with Partner Mail VS R5.0.

It goes dead over a period of non use, usually when the client comes in on Monday mornings it is dead. It has a red flashing LED. Cannot access it through the system.

I go out power down the system, pull the Voice Mail module. Wait a few minutes, reinsert the Partner Mail module, power it up, all is well, green LED. Good for a month or so.

Power supply problem? Any ideas

would that cause the LED on the front which normal should show green, go red?

I would guess due to the hard drive not spinning.

Chevy,

Sounds like either the drive or the Power Supply. The PS provides a clean 5V to the main board for the hard drive operation. if the PS has caps going bad - that could affect the 5V supply. the Hard Drive is very finicky with anything other than a clean 5V. Its one reason many laptop drives fail prematurely.
