We have a Partner II phone system with a Partner Mail VS voicemail system.

For some reason, our voicemail system refuses to work for Extension 17. All of our other extensions work fine with the voice mail system, and the employee who used ext 17 had no trouble as recently as yesterday.

First, the system said, "You can not get your messages at this time, there are too many people logged into this extension", and refused to allow access to the voice mail for ext 17. I decided to reinitialize the mailbox to try to fix the problem. After reinitializing the mailbox, and then reinitializing the password to the default 1234, we were still unable to log in.

The system said Login Incorrect, even though we entered the default password 1234. Next, I have gone ahead and deleted, and then re-added extension 17 to the voice mail system, and the same problem is occurring.

Through the management login, I can see that the voicemail for ext 17 exists, but it won't accept a login.

If I can't figure this out today, I will go ahead and power cycle the phone system tonight and see what happens.

What could be causing this strange problem? I have verified that my own mailbox and several other people's mailboxes work just fine.

If you had power cycled the system, you probably would have cleared the multiple login problem.

So, I would delete mailbox 17, cycle the power to the system, then recreate 17 and try again.

I powercycled the phone system last night, and that fixed the problem. Thanks.
