Partner Mail VS Ports - Upgrade needed 1

Hi all,

I have a customer with a Partner Mail VS 4.0 system with 2 ports. They recently moved a few of their lines to full-time AA, so there is some added stress on the VM system. I recommended that they go to 4 ports on their VS system. My question is, will this require the customer to re-record their AA prompts, VM greetings, and will they lose their saved messages? Or is everything saved on the module itself, and the removal of the 2 port card and 4 port card will be transparent to the customer?

Add the new VM ports to hunt group 7. Besides that, nothing else should be affected.

Both the Partner Mail VS and Partner Messaging use a small hard drive to store messages and announcements, so, as 1864 said, switching port cards and adding the lines to hunt group 7 is fine.

Thank you both. One more question - I'm not COMPLETELY sure it is a rel 4.0 exactly. Is there an easy way to make this determination remotely via the admin login to the voicemail system?

Login to voicemail and instead of hitting secret number 9 hit the number 7 and it will tell you the system info.
