Partner Mail VS Click Sound

I have a Partner Mail VS R4.1 module. When someone calls in, and the phone system hands the call over to the voicemail module, there is an audible pop sound. Avaya told me this is normal. I have heard it before with a customer's system as well that had VS R5. Seems kind of loud for a business phone system.

Does Partner Messaging R7 also do this?
Does Partner Mail V3 (PC Card Voice Mail) do this?

I do hear a slight click when the auto attendant answers an incoming call, when a voicemail box answers, and when the system disconnects a call. Those are quite normal.
