Hey George,
VS R5 will work as long as it has been flashed to R5.0.16. Login to mailbox 99, then press 7 to hear the exact release. R1-R4 are not compatible with ACS R7.

That's what we've been flashing the VS R5 up to, and so far no complaints from users of R7 ACS's.
