I am using a PM ( te old metal box on the wall ) and the ext. I am trying to reach ( ext-30 ) which is a lobby phone for incoming customer calls only says "Station 30 Is Not Available" then it wants to take a message I guess in the general mailbox.

I would like to set up this station to allow calls routed thru the AA but not to take message if no answer. Seems the only way to set up the AA to send calls there is if I create a MB.

Is there a COS that will allow just incoming calls and not answer and not take message for that staiton number unless lets say I have it ring to a VM overage station?

You can also just give it the normal COS of 1, but make sure that #310 (Automatic VMS Coverage) is disabled. It will transfer but not cover back to the mailbox

Quick note of Big Will's solution - On an ACS, and IF you have not changed the Transfer Return Extensions for the VM ports (which I've found most installers don't), an unanswered transfer without VMS Coverage returns to the VM port that sent the call. An ACS will include mode codes in this situation, and the mailbox will answer anyways.

So if your Partner Mail is connected to an ACS instead of a Partner Plus or Partner II, be sure to follow 1043's advice.
