I am getting a red light on the HDD so I assume the hard drive is having a problem. I hear it spinup and then stop then the red HDD light stays lit and no voice mail access.
In regards to replacing the hard drive. If the drive is replaced and a new one installed will the software that operates voice mail be reinstalled or will I have to reload the operating system and Partner Mail software onto the drive?
I have a 2x10 mail system with no cardsor software.
I was going to just send it to MetroLine to have them repair or replace the module. They have repaired Partner modules before and are fast. However when they replace the hard drive will the module then operate as before without me installing any software or will MetroLine reinstall the software? I have never had to have one of these modules repaired before.
Can I just replace the hard drive myself? Any other place you can suggest to have this repaired that is better or cheaper than MetroLine?
