Does Partner Mail 3 ( the old box on the wall ) allow for Centrex transfer via one of the AA? I thought it did but I can not locate the Centrex Transfer option when I am within the AA set up.

Is it within the Sub Menus? If not what Partner Mail has Centrex transfer?

Partner Mail R3 (Standalone) Does Not support Centrex Transfer. Only R5 PMVS and the Partner Messaging series support it.

Will there be any future PM releases or updates?

As things currently stand, Avaya will be ending production of the Partner platform by 2010. With that in mind, it is very unlikely that there will be any major changes to the Partner ACS processor, voicemails or expansion modules. Once the Partner is retired, Avaya will be out of the TDM market. [cry]

What is the TDM market mean and has Avaya released official notice regarding ending the Partner line or is this hear say?

In hindsight, I probably should have said "Once the Partner is retired, Avaya will be out of the Traditional Key System/PBX market". TDM stands for "Time Division Multiplexing" which describes how traditional telephone switches (like the Lucent 5E and Nortel DMS 100) operate.

Not being an Avaya Business Partner, I do not have access to the documents that Business Partner do. The 2010 drop dead date was mentioned in a previous post here on Tek-Tips.

Look at the 2nd post by 1043. That was the first mention of the year 2010. Since the time that the topic was first mentioned, this subject has been discussed in great detail elsewhere.

It is believed that Avaya's new IP-500 system is the replacement for the Partner ACS. Technicians who have worked with the system have said that the hardware is priced about the same as the Partner's.
