Partner II system w/voicemail

We have a partner II system that had a power issue ...all the modules are working except the partner mail w / 6 port exp card ...cycled power ...reseated partner module ....turned power back on ..we are getting
green led on front but get busy when calling x 46 - x51
we hear it boot up but seems to have a hard drive issue

We have 2 cabinets that are full with 206 cards and are no
issue except the voicemail ...cabinet 2 card to the right of EXPANSION CARD slot 04 of 5 slot carrier is wherer the voicemail module is located .....

can we use a Partner Mail VS rel 4 card ....or do we require Partner ACS Processor with the VS module ???

if not we could get a secondary Partner Mail on the after
market

The VS is questionable according to the release you have on the Partner II system. You should be able to upgrade the VM to the new Partner Messaging Modules though. Let me know if you need help with part numbers, etc...

I have a correction to the above post. I think the VS will as well as the new Messaging Module, but I believe you need to have a minimum of Rev. 3.1 on the Partner II system.

Hi phoneuser,
Also watch the rev of the expansion module. You may need R4.0 or higher to support a VS (or higher) voice mail card. Otherwise, the card will power up but the ports will not answer. If this is the situation, place the voice mail in the rightmost slot in the first cabinet. This will create a "hole" in your dial plan (ext # list), but will work fine otherwise. I have had to do this in the past.
