I tried to test the Page Port on an old Partner II by plugging my test set into the port on the PROC. card marked PAGE.

I went to a set and using INTERCOM dialed *70 and *71 for an all page. All the other sets around the office worked but I heard nothing from my test set.

COuld the port be bad or is there a specific Feature code I can dial so that only the PAGE port is activated and not the sets?

Thanks!

Intercom 70 (without the *) will page to the page port only. Make sure your test set is set to "monitor".

I am trying to troubleshoot the PROC card first. So if I do not hear anything on my handset could it mean that the PROC. card port is having a problem?

Did you follow Telecomboy's instructions?

When monitoring the page port, if the buttset is not in "MONITOR" mode you will not hear anything...

I will try again. I got nothing when I did this and dialed ( I 7 0 ).

If the port is bad can I installed a new unit like a Bogen and connect to an available ext. or line port?

They have 2 page zones. 1=Office 2=Plant

Why would you expect to hear something on a page port when you don't have an amplifier? Do you expect to just hook up a speaker to the port and not use an amp?

No. This has an old Pag Pac installed andthe speakers are no longer working. I am trying to determine by fault isolation what is the problem. If the Amp then I should hear it at the page Port if the Port than it is the PROC card.
