Partner II intercom 10 acts like a single line set

The left intercom button remains on and it has only regular dial tone. When you select any other button on the mls-18d you hear a tone but the buttons don't work. HElp

I have found out what the problem is, I don't feel like the brightest of all techs. I have a Remote Admin Unit connected to int 10 and when I reset the phone system, I had to reset the RAU. Once I did this all was well.
