I've taken over the phone system for my church. Currently it consists of a 206 R4.1 and a 206E R4.1 and works fine. They'd like to expand to at least 18 extensions. Here's what I have on hand to work with:

5 slot carrier
Partner II Processor R3
206 R4.1
206E R4.1
206 R2 (2)

I've tried the following config (left to right)

206 R4.1 206E R4.1 Partner II 206 R2

but no luck. The Parter II light goes green, the 206 R4.1 flashes and nothing else lights up.

Is there a way to do this?

THANKS!

push hard on all modules on the uper half , its a common problem with partner carriers that when you power up you need to reseat the modules

I just push each one hard.

other possiblity is a bad 206 if the first 206 is bad nothing will work . so if pushing hard dosnt do it try one 206 and the processor . try each 206

your config is correct processor in middle

ive never seen a red light on a 206 , are you sure its not a VM ?

The 206 4.1 is probably bad. Try the modules one at a time with the processor, putting each 206 in slot 1. So pull everything out, put the processor in the center slot, put a 206 in the 1st slot. Power up, see if it works. If no, you found the bad one. If yes, power down, add another 206 in slot 2, and continue the process.

You guys rock! Turns out the problem is in the carier - the power socket in the #4 slot is messed up. I'll swap to my spare carrier and that should do it. THANKS!
