Hi everyone,
I have an old Partner II processor under maintenance that the customer does not want to upgrade.
The battery on the daughter board is dead and needs replaced.
My question is, as soon as I remove the module from power it is going to lose all of the translations.
Is there a way to do a backup of this old processor.
I am guessing not.
(why would Avaya mount the battery to retain memory)
If anyone knows a way I would appreciate it.

Thank you all,

the only way to back up an Partner 11 was with the Partner Passageway software, if you can find it with the passageway modem

You will have to write it all down on paper.

I just use a second processor with a new battery in it, and a 206 in another carrier and sit at ext 10 or 11 and look at the old programming and key it into a replacement. then swap the processors.

If they are under maint you should have a spare processor, carrier and a 206 anyway, and it should only take about 15 -30 minutes.

There are only about a dozen or so system programs that are normally changed, Less if thee is no voice mail then, you buzz through central telephone programming.
