Is there a way to access the administrator programming remotely?

There is an RAU (Remote Administration Unit) bouncing around made by AT&T (so you can guess how old and possibly unavailable this unit is. This is the link to the manual for it

Trying to find one of those (RAU) is probably like looking for hens' teeth!

Upgrade the system to an ACS processor with the correct PCMCIA card and you get remote access for free. You can download the workstation software from Avaya's website: support.avaya.com

The remote access for the Partner ACS R6 and earlier is not very reliable. Some modems have more success than others in establishing and maintaining a remote connection.

The R7 processor has a jack for an external modem, but, the processor has been plagued by a series of software problems.

The downside to remote programming is that the processor will need to be power-cycled for any changes to take effect.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

what voicemail are you running, but generally speaking, every voicemail can have the greetings changed remotely (never had one that couldn't do it) all you need is to dial into it and rerecord it. The voicemail doesn't know where you are to rerecord it.

Just dial *7 to access like you would regular voice mail, and put the admin password - 9997 for the original partner mail (wall mounted) 99 for most of the stuff in between, and 0 for the newest ones. The manuals are at the Avaya web site. What seems to throw most people is using the *# to bypass selector codes and knowing when to put in 9 to get to the second menu set.
