I saw one mention of the green leds in a post on the new phones, I thought I was the only one who noticed this, it seems like older vintage phones are good, the new ones are dim, I'm referring to the 18D euro models, does anyone know what changed? or if there's a fix?

Hi allisland,
Funny, just installed some brand new ones. I didn't notice anything different. I'll keep an eye out.

I've mentioned the led problem in the past but no one ever replied. Depending on the lights in the room, some times the green led is very hard to see. This has been a problem for a while. Many customers have told me they weren't able to see which line was ringing. I hope this problem was corrected with the new phones.

Yes ...I had the same problem...6 out of 10 sets...I called my dealer to complain and they said that they had not heard of any other sets with this problem..They replaced my sets..This happened last summer..2004
I continue to buy from the same dealer and have not had any repeats since..Hmmmmm

Brings back memories of the old 1A2 Key systems with incandescent bulbs. You could replace them if they got dim, though most often, they just burned out.
At night time, the lamps were too bright. On residential systems, I often installed a timer to reduce lamp voltage, dimming the lamps from 8pm to 6am or so.
